Financial Assistance is given to the family of the deceased civil servant family. Lump-Sum Grant of Financial Assistance package is admissible Vide No.F.D.SR.l/3-10/2004 dated.15.08.2017.

Who will Sanction Financial Assistance Grant
The DDO has full power to sanction financial assistance cases through an amendment in Punjab Delegation of Power Rules,1983.
Pay and Allowance to deceased family
Pay and Allowances admissible to the family of deceased Civil Servants Vide No.FD.SR.1/3-10/2004 dated 15.08.2017and Vide No.FD.SRl/3-3/2017dated.29.09.2017. The Deceased family shall be allowed salary along with an annual increase in the pay till the date of superannuation i.e. 60 years. For payment of salary, the concerned Administration department shall get create the post of OSD. In case of death of the widow, salary will remain continued to the dependents of the deceased civil servants till the age of superannuation. When deceased servant age will be 60 years family pension shall be allowed as per clause 4.10 of the Punjab Civil Services Pension Rules 1967 defined by Pakistan Government.
Length of Service for Financial Assistance
No specific length of se1vice is required for benefit of family Salary vide No. U.O.NO.FD.SR-I/3-dated 24.09.2018 of Finance Department.
Leave Encashment
Lumpsum payment equal to 365 days in terms of Rule19 of the Revised Leave Rules 1981 and will be given at the time of death to the deceased family. Leave Encashment is allowed to the family of Civil Servant who dies during the service Vide No.FD.SR-II/2.141/2012 dated.09.09.2013 read with clarification by finance department FD.SR-I/3-3/2017dated 29.09.2017.
04 Months Salary
04 months salary will immediately be given to the deceased family of civil servants under desired rules.
Group Insurance
Group Insurance will be admissible with the following rates Vide No.Sec(Funds)S&GAD GI/1-2/2005 dated 06.02.2008 and clarification read with FD.SR-1/3-3/2017dated 29.09.2017.

Final Payment of Group Insurance will be made immediately after the death of the Civil Servants. The facilities of Group Insurance continued to remain extended to five years after retirement without requiring the Govt. Servant to pay the premium after retirement in pursuance No.AS(Funds)S&GAD(G.I-1-1/2002) dated .05.10.2002.
Appointment of One child widow
Appointment of One child widow under Rule 17-A on a permanent basis Vide No.FD.SR.1/3-10/2004 Dated 15.01.2017 read with FD.SR-I/3-3/2017 dated 29.09.2017. One child or widow in BPS·I to11 (including the post of Patwari and Jr.Clerk) will immediately be appointed after the death of civil servant on a Regular basis as per provisions of Rules 17-A of the Punjab Civil Se1vices(A&CS)Rules,1974.
Family Pension and Gratuity
Family Pension and Gratuity is allowed Vide No.FD-SR-III-4.I.08/2010(D) dated.30.09.2010. After the date of superannuation i.e 60 years, family pension shall be allowed as per clause4,10 of the Punjab Civil Services Pensions Rules 1967.
