In this connection, the Government Of The Punjab Finance Department Regulation Wing issued notification No.FD-SR-1/3-10/2004 on 15 August 2017. This circular is about Financial Assistance to the family of a civil servant who dies during the services. Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef has been approved this financial assistance package which is admissible to families of civil servants who die during the service. This package will applicable w.e.f. 22.02.2017. The details are as under.
1. Lump-Sum Financial Assistance Grant
Lump-Sum Financial Assistance Grant awarded to civil servants is as under. This grant is applicable with effect from 2017.

2. Per Month Salary
The family of a deceased civil servant will be given a per-month salary. Furthermore, annual increases will add to the pay. This process will continue till the date of the Superannuation of the deceased civil servant. After the date of superannuation, family pension will be allowed as per pension rules.

3. Government Accommodation
Government Accommodation will provided to The family of the deceased civil servant till the age of superannuation as per policy made by Government of Punjab . Moreover you can read this policy which is issued by by S&GAD vide EO(S&GAD)Policy/2009/-345 dated 19.01.2009.
4. Scholarship to Children
The educational scholarship will be awarded to children a maximum three of deceased civil servants out of the Benevolent Fund grants. These scholarships are warded from Provincial Provident Fund.
5. Employment
Appointment of one child or widow in the department in which deceased civil servant was serving. This appointment of one child or widow will in BS-1 to BS-11 on regular basis under rule 17-A.
6. Marriage Grant
A marriage grant is given for the marriage of a deceased civil servant. If the employee is Gazetted then this grant will Rs.80000. In the case of a deceased civil servant who is Non-Gazetted the amount of the marriage grant will be Rs.55,000.
7. Health Facilities
Free of cost health facilities will provide to the family of deceased Civil servants according to West Pakistan rules.
8. General Provident Fund Payment
General Provident (GP) Fund will be paid to the deceased’s family of civil servant as per rules of Government of Punjab GPF Rules, 1978.
9. Monthly Benevolent Fund Grants
Monthly BF Grants will be awarded to the family of civil servants. The monthly rate of this grant Financial Assistance Notification Punjab is as under.

10. Group Insurance
This is Lump Sum grant is awarded to the family of civil servant who dies during the service. Group Insurance is awarded on the following rates.
