Educator Recruitment Policy

Infoghar Team will tell the audience about educator recruitment policy 2016-17. Firstly, the Government Of the Punjab School Education Department issued circular vide order No. SO (SE-IV) 2-50/2015 Dated Lahore, September 09, 2016, in connection with educators and AEO recruitment policy 2016-17. In this regard instruction issued to all the district coordination officers, in Punjab and all the executive district officers’ education in Punjab. By the direction of  CM Punjab to attain 100% enrolment of school-going children of age three years and above, maintaining quality education,  this policy launched. These targets of quality education can be achieved by recruiting teachers on a merit basis. Chief Minister Punjab and School Education department-approved SNE for 46374 posts of educators. 3 percent out of allocated posts of each category will be reserved for disabled persons in each district. Furthermore, at least four teachers will be ensured in Primary Schools of Punjab.

Age limit

The age criteria for newly appointees, in-service candidates, disable persons and AEOs will discuss here. The minimum age limit for applying is 20 years. The maximum age i.e upper age limits will 30 years. . Five years general age relaxation in the upper age limit will grant to all candidates. For female candidates, three years more special age relaxation will be given. For disabling persons ten year age relaxation in upper age 30 years will give. Candidates from the relevant District will consider for these posts. One good point for a married female candidate, she can apply either on the basis of her husband’s domicile or her own domicile. In case a married female applies to the domicile of her husband then she will provide an attested copy of her husband’s domicile and Nikah Nama. Married female candidates can apply on only one domicile for the recruitment of educators.

Entry Test

Most importantly, the National testing agency (NTS) will conduct the test of educators and AEOs posts to ensure merit and transparency. Qualifying marks for educators post will be 50 and for Assistant Educators Officers will be 60. DRC and District Education authorities shall call only those candidates who have qualified entry test.

STEPS OF RECRUITMENT

We will discuss in detail about educator recruitment policy and how to apply for these posts. The candidates or download from the website “www.schools.punjab.gov.pk“.  These forms are also available from the office of respective district education offices. Inservice candidates will submit a permission certificate or No objection certificate from their authority with the application. Candidates submit attested degrees, certificates, result cards, disability certificates, permission certificates, and Nikkah Nama along with applications before the closing date.

Candidates for the posts of ESE and SESE will apply in the office of District Education Officer (EE-M). However, female candidates for the post of PET can not apply in Boys Schools. In Government Girls Schools only female candidates can apply. Female candidates for the post of SSE can apply only in Government Girls Schools. For the post of SSE (all categories) in Govt. In boys Schools, only male candidates can apply to DEO (SE).

Recruitment Committee

Deputy Commissioner will act as chairman of the recruitment committee. The other members Executive District Officer Education, Executive District Officer Finance and planning, District Monitoring Officer, and one Representative of Provincial Government will member of the recruitment committee. The committees shall be responsible for the conduct of recruitment procedure in a smooth way. Further, the Committee can disqualify the candidates at any stage.
