Pakistan government employees especially teachers and other employees were protesting for their salary increase since June 2020. Employees from all parts of countries gathered in Islamabad on 10th February 2021 for their pay increase 2021. Clashes with the police in Islamabad was also reported by the media. Negotiations between employee’s union leaders Rehman Bajwa, Imtiaz Abbasi, and Ch Muhammad Sarfraz PTU Leader Punjab. After the successful full meeting, Minister of defense minister Pervaiz Khatak said while addressing the press conference that a 25% pay increase in the salaries of federal government employees and provincial government w.e.f March 2021. He also added that Negotiations between the government and protesting employees had been successful. Sheikh Rashid added that all the arrested individuals behind the bars will be released.
Notification of Salary Increase 2021
As directed by the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan committee was formed. A committee comprising Ministers Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan Minister for Defense Pervaiz Khattak and Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Khan to resolve issues of All Government Employees in Pakistan Pakistan along with leaders of Government employees. This issue was also raised in the Federal Cabinet. The cabinet directed to enhance the pay structure of employees. After negation with the leaders of employees following decision was made.
Protest of Employees 2021 and Salary Increase
The government has decided to increase the pay and pension of all civil servants Federal and Provincial. It is further added that due to covid-19 government of Pakistan has not increased pension and pay of civil servants during the last year in the Budget. All the Civil servants were protesting against the Government that inflation has increased and pay is not being increased. APCA other employees’ unions were protesting that pay should be increased.

Adhoc Relief 2021
An Adhoc Relief Allowance @ 25% of basic pay of BPS-2017 shall be allowed to civil employees in BPS 1-19 of all Federal Government employees, Federal Secretariat employee, and all Provincial Employees. This allowance is not admissible to the employees who have granted a salary equal to 100% or more than 100% of the basic pay.
Up-gradation of Employees 2021
All posts of all employees from BPS 1-16 will be upgraded on as in KPK.
Time Scale Promotion 2021
The time-scale promotion will also be granted on the Pattern of KPK’s next budget.
Revision of Pay scale 2021
All Ad Hoc relief will be merged into basic salary w.e.f July, 2021.Hence Pay scale will be revised in 2021.
This package is also for the provinces employees with their own expenses. No legal proceeding will be against protesters
