Clarification of Special Allowance

Clarification regarding special allowance is sought by the different District Accounts officers in Punjab. Finance Department issued letter No. FD.SR.V.3-1/2021 dated 07-07-2021 regarding grant of 25 % special allowance. Accountant General Punjab A.G. Complex, Turner Road, Lahore has issued a letter to All-District Accounts Officers in Punjab regarding clarification of special allowance 2021 Punjab. This letter is about the grant of special allowance – 2021 to the employees of the government of Punjab in bs 1-19 who are not receiving any cadre service-specific allowance.

Today on 13 August, 202 Government of the Punjab Finance department issued the latest clarification of Special Allowance. You can that its final clarification about special allowances 2021 Punjab. Many departments of Punjab special all teachers of Punjab Government will be given this special allowance.

Latest Clarification Special Allowance

In this regard, Finance Department Punjab issued a final letter to Accountant General Punjab for the implementation of special allowance 2021 Punjab.

The case has been examined. It is hereby clarified under Serial No. A(1)(h) titled “Finance Department Second Schedule under Rule 3(3) of the Punjab Government Rules of Business, 2011, that Special Allowance-2021 @ 25% is not admissible to those Civil Servants of Government of Punjab In 18-1 to 18-10 who are drawing any of the following allowances.

11. Special Allowance (District Attorneys, DDA & ADA)
12. Prisons Allowance (Officers and Officials of Prison Department)

Today Increase In Salary

Accountant General Punjab is in receipt of a number of queries from different District Accounts Offices regarding admissibility of Special Allowance-2021 to the Civil Servants and contracts employees in BS-01 to 115-19 a 25% of initial of the Basic Scales. In this regard Accountant general Punjab is written a letter to the Secretary Finance Department Government of Punjab regarding the clarification of the special allowance. As per the notification of Special Allowance Punjab 2021, the employees who are getting and cadre/service-specific allowance are not entitled to the special allowance 2021 Punjab. Incentive Allowance etc are cadre/service specific allowances and an employee in receipt of any of the above is not entitled to Special Allowance-2021.

Head of Account Special Allowance

In pursuance of Finance Department Government of Punjab office Letter No BI-     27(299//2021-22-20200 dated 07.07.2021 regarding grant of Special Allowance-2021 to the employees of the government of Punjab in BS-1 to 19 who are not receiving any cadre/service specific allowance, the following new head of account under Object Element.

Allowances Clarification

The letter we are sharing here is written by District Account officer Chawal. In this letter, attention is invited to Para 2 of the circular No. ibid. For further proceeding in the matter, it may kindly be clarified either civil servant drawing the following allowances in his monthly payments along with other regular allowances is entitled to the 25% special allowance or otherwise.
