The government of the Pakistan Finance Division (Regulations Wing) issued notification regarding clarification of disparity reduction allowance. The regulation wing approved the grant of this allowance granted to public sector universities in Islamabad. The notifications of issued vide order F. No 14(2)R-3/2021-272 dated 18th June 2021. In this notification, reference is quoted to Higher Education Commission, Islamabad’s letter F. P. No.2-1/HEC/2020-21/577 dated 22nd March in connection with the grant of disparity reduction allowance. It is to inform you that the case was considered in the meeting of the Disparity Allowance Committee held on 2nd June 2021. Finance Division conveys its approval that Finance Division’s OM No 14(1)R-3/2021-90 dated 3rd March 2021 is applicable to the Civil employees in BPS 1-19 of the public sector universities chartered by the Federal Government under the administrative control of Higher Education Commission Islamabad, w.e.f. 1″ March 2021.

Provincial Universities Reduction Allowance
The public universities chartered by the Provincial Governments may be advised by the Higher Education Commission to refer their matter for grant of this allowance to the Provincial Finance Departments.
