Government of the Punjab Finance Department has issued Notification on 22-08-2019 regarding with Grant of Ph.D / LLM /M.Phil Allowance notifcation to all all civil servant Holding the Degree of Ph.D / LLM /M.Phil. Ph.D/M.S/M.Phil/LL.M Degree Allowance is awarded to Government servants. They were higher degree qualification allowance of the same over and above the eligibility criteria of the post. You can say that this is higher qualification allowance. This allowance is not allowed where Ph.D/D.Sc. M/Phil/LL.M Degree was part of the eligibility criteria of a post. The detail of Grant of Ph.D / LLM /M.Phil / M.S Allowance is as under.
Ph.D / LLM /M.Phil Allowance Notification All Department Punjab
Ph.D / M.Phil / LL.M Degree Allowance is allowed to all Governments servants across the board, working under the administration control of the Punjab Government.
National Basis Pay Scale
This allowance will be admissible to the employees of those Statutory Bodies / Semi-Autonomous Organizations / Corporation which have adopted the scheme of revised basic pay scales of the Punjab Government.
Amount M.Phill and P.hd of Allowance
Amount M.Phill and Ph.d of Allowance is as under
- Ph.D Degree holders will be entitled to draw Rs. 10,000/- per month as Ph.D Degree Allowance.
- M.Phil / LL.M Degree holders will be entitled to draw @ Rs.5,000/- per month as M.Phil / LL.M Allowance.
When awarded M.Phil and Ph.d Allowance?
Grant of Ph.D / LLM /M.Phil / M.S Allowance will be admissible from the date of the final result issued by the university concerned. The servants those already in service they will get from the date of joining service.
Only one M.Phill or Ph.d Allowance Entitled
Those who are / had been in receipt of M.Phil / LL.M Allowance and had / have subsequently acquired Ph.D Degree would be entitled to the allowance on the basis of their last degree, i.e. Ph.D only and the allowance having been/being drawn on the basis of previous degree i.e. M.Phil / LL.M shall be discontinued with effect from the same date.
Degree Verification from HEC
While granting Ph.D / M.Phil / LL.M Degree Allowance it may examined if the degree has been / is acquired from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university.
Notification regarding Ph.D / LLM /M.Phil / M.S Allowance is sent to Administrative Secretaries / Concerned are request to ensure implementation above mentioned instructions in letter and spirit.
